camping

our ward had a campout may 13-14, so we went (what better is there to do on friday the 13th?) we had a great time, though i didn't take many pictures. here's a few highlights:

the sand volleyball made for a great sand box, there were always so many kids in it that no one could play volleyball, but they had a blast!

i didn't take this one, but everyone was impressed with rayna's bed head!

yep! that's a blanket you see there... that morning was COLD! crazy to think of now, just a few weeks later when we're over 80 all night long...

malachi had a blast... what more can a little guy ask for?! grass, mud, sand and a lake!

i know crazy, you weren't sure what i looked like anymore cause i'm never in pictures.
(ps, in my defense, paul NEVER takes any pics)

my favorite, the car ride home, chi was flirting with me around his seat :)
he's such a cutie!
i wish we'd taken more pics, it was a nice trip. the campground wasn't too far, and though most of the people that came were only there from late evening to early morning, we had a lot of play time too. there was baseball, catch, football, sand, wading in the lake, TONS of yummy food, and zillions of people around to play with. we also went on a little hike with some of our friends the next morning, about a mile and a half i think. our kids did great and i think we all had fun! (except poor auntie emalie, who arrived the morning of the 13th and was feeling a bit sick while we were camping :P fortunately she got better pretty fast and we still had a lot of fun over the next few weeks with her, more on that coming soon...)

Malachi is getting to look like such a little boy! How cute. Camping is so much fun. Only in the last week has it warmed up enough here to even be a remote option. Not that camping at 37 weeks is really what we are planning on doing.

80s at night - I can't believe it - we haven't made it to the 80s more than once or twice so far this year! Looks like a fun campout. And after seeing the bedhead I am amazed how well you tame the wild beast so regularly. You are an artist.
