winter

as most everyone that reads my blog probably already knows, we had a huge snow/ice storm two weeks ago, 1st feb there was enough ice to shut down the city, and it was bitter cold enough to keep around for four days! it's just about unprecedented for dallas. the only problem was that there was more ice than snow :( which is a lot harder to play in. paul stayed home for two days, then he gave up and got back to work even though most everyone else stayed home (which may have been a blessing in disguise, giving him some time to get ahead for this incredibly busy semester!). there was some real snow on friday (4th), so we got a chance to play too :)

we went on an ice walk that first day, i think we were the only people outside!

rayna was freezing! i was amazed myself at how bitter cold the wind was, and i remember winter! we had to tuck our faces deep into our scarves

needless to say, we had a blast, playing in the back yard where we were a little sheltered from the wind. malachi didn't understand why i wouldn't let him out too!

now i just wonder if spring is here to last?!
